1. About Sunlytic

Sunlytic is a free online solar estimation tool that helps homeowners and businesses evaluate the potential of installing solar panels. We are an independent service and are not a licensed solar installer, electrical engineer, or financial advisor.

2. Estimates only

All calculations, projections, savings figures, payback periods, and equipment recommendations provided by Sunlytic are estimates only. Actual results depend on many factors we cannot know with certainty, including:

• Your specific roof conditions, orientation, and structural integrity
• The equipment brand and quality you ultimately install
• Local installer pricing and labour costs
• Current grid tariffs and export rates which may change
• Weather variability year to year
• Local regulations and permitting

3. No professional advice

Nothing on Sunlytic constitutes professional electrical engineering, financial, investment, or legal advice. Our calculator uses simplified models and average data. Consult certified solar installers, qualified electricians, and financial advisors before committing to a solar installation.

4. Quote-matching service

If you submit a quote request through Sunlytic, we will share your contact details and property information with up to 3 certified solar installers in your area. These installers are independent businesses; Sunlytic does not employ them, endorse their work, or guarantee their quotes.

You are under no obligation to accept any quote or installer recommendation. Always do your own due diligence before signing any contract.

5. Tariff and pricing data

Electricity tariffs, feed-in rates, and installation cost estimates are based on publicly available data and industry averages. These values may not reflect your exact billing or current market prices. Verify rates directly with your utility provider and current quotes from installers.

6. PDF reports

PDF reports generated by Sunlytic are for personal reference only. They should not be used as a substitute for professional documentation, engineering plans, or quote comparisons. Sunlytic is not responsible for decisions made solely based on these reports.

7. Payments and ads

Sunlytic is supported by:

• Display advertising (powered by Google AdSense)
• Optional PDF report purchases (processed via Stripe)
• Lead-generation fees paid by partner installers
• White-label subscriptions for solar businesses

Payment data is processed entirely by Stripe; we never see your full card details. Refunds for paid features are handled case-by-case — email us at sunlytic@gmail.com.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false or misleading information
• Attempt to interfere with the Service's operation
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce our content without permission
• Use the Service to harm or impersonate any person or business

9. Intellectual property

All content, branding, code, design, calculations, and materials on Sunlytic are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Commercial use, redistribution, or reverse engineering requires our written permission.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sunlytic accepts no liability for any:

• Financial loss arising from decisions based on our estimates
• Disputes between you and installers we matched you with
• Service interruptions or technical issues
• Data inaccuracies or outdated tariff information
• Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages

You use Sunlytic at your own discretion. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

11. Third-party services

Sunlytic uses third-party services (Vercel, Cloudflare, Google AdSense, Stripe, Supabase, Resend, etc.). We are not responsible for the actions, content, or policies of these services. Their respective terms apply to their portion of the Service.

12. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Sunlytic at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms occasionally — significant changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at our discretion if you violate these Terms or applicable laws.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Malaysian courts.
